Clinical Case Study
Presented by
Angela Hywood N.D
Picture this: a vibrant beautiful young 19-year-old girl finally travels to Europe to live a dream and explore the world. However, just months into her trip- she is struck down with such incapacitating fatigue, she faints, vomits, ends up hospitalized and sent home to Australia. Her doctors run test after test and send her home diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, offer her anti depressants and prescribe bed rest.
With every day that passes, she feels worse and worse.
More tests, more doctors- yet no answers…
This case study of a 21-year-old female with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) explores a simple but powerful case of “wrong diagnosis” and focused on the symptoms rather than the case of the issue.
By carefully assessing simple medical blood work, in addition to careful symptom assessment, a starkly obvious diagnosis can be made- one that the medical community has ignored or overlooked.
This is module that explores the power of functional medicine and lateral clinical thinking.
This module will provide a practical approach to the use of diagnostic testing, interpretation and prescribing with herbal, nutritional and lifestyle medicine that will apply to your day-to-day practice.
This module will give you more confidence in understanding medical blood tests, reference ranges and prescribing base on these results.
